Second international conference on water, environment and sustainable development in arid and semi arid regions (WATARID):

This scientific gathering which took place from 6 to 8 May 2009 brought together some scholars from academic and research centers from different countries like French, China and Iran. At this event many invaluable scientific issues were discussed, and the conference ended with a declaration with ten articles emphasizing the significant role of Iran in nourishing the world culture and civilization especially in the field of water mining and water management.
